ABA therapy by goal: what we work on at home
Most families come to us with one or two things they want to get easier. These are the goals we build ABA programs around, at home, with a plan written by a BCBA.
Goals we work on
- ABA Potty TrainingToilet training help for autistic kids: accidents, refusal, withholding, and nonverbal toileting.
- Communication & Speech DelayFunctional communication at home: verbal behavior, PECS, sign and AAC, alongside speech therapy.
- Nonverbal & Minimally Verbal KidsA way to ask for what they need, through words, pictures, sign or a device.
- Social SkillsPlay, turn-taking and connecting with other kids, practiced at home and with siblings.
- Daily Living SkillsDressing, routines and chores broken into small steps inside your real day.
- Feeding & Picky EatingGradual, assent-based mealtime goals for extreme picky eating, at your own table.
- Sleep & BedtimeBehavioral plans for bedtime battles, night waking and routines that never settle.
- Self-Care & HygieneToothbrushing, bathing and haircuts taught with the sensory side taken seriously.
How a goal becomes a plan
A BCBA measures your child's skills with the VB-MAPP and ABLLS-R assessments and writes the plan.
A trained technician works on it with your child at home, inside the routines where the skill is needed. Parent coaching is 10 to 20 percent of therapy hours.
